I will point out that we're not a job shop and progaming is only one of the things I do I tend to do several intensive weeks of programing at one point of the product design / tooling build / production start-up cycle, then won't touch MC again for a couple months. I like v9, it does all I need it to do, and after following the upgrade route from v6, through v7 and v8 with their attendant learning curves, I decided that continuous change was a grand waste of time. I own v9 free and clear there was never any requirement to pay maintenance, and I never did. It would seem that if a dongle fails, and the software vendor refuses to replace it, a call to your lawyer and/or the attorney general is in order.Interestingly, I just received an e-mail from my MasterCAM vendor telling me that my MCv9 will no longer be "updateable" and I need to update to X5 to "protect my investment."
